This work is the visual testimony of a performative action carried out in the mountains. Through a performative intervention, various objects of garbage polluting the snow-capped mountain’s water sources were identified and photographed in situ. Each object was then removed and taken to the city of La Paz, where it was photographed again in a studio—no longer as waste, but as an artistic object. The collection route was carried out in the surrounding area of Base Camp and in watercourses on the north-facing slope at 4,600 AMSL in 2019.
